About Mr. Why

My name is Mr. Elia Yaremchuk and I decided to come to Kaohsiung nine years ago to gain some teaching experience. After falling in love with Taiwan and its culture, I decided to stay. Over the years, I worked at a buxiban, kindergarten, and finally my final three years were at an International School.

I achieved my Elementary Education Degree from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I am passionate about lifelong learning and value the importance of teaching the needs and interests of the students. My new chapter of teaching in Taiwan has included private tutoring and small class lessons, including Computer Science. I believe coding is a significant opportunity for students to collaborate and learn in a fun and engaging way while enhancing their critical thinking skills. Learning how to code can be vital to the path of a student's future.
